HIGHWAY ROAD SIGNS, MEXICO.

CARRETERAS 135 AND 190 FROM OAXACA TO TAXCO

In early March of `07, my friend Paul Simon, and I, drove Oaxaca to Taxco.

We had several maps, none of which were completely accurate.

Consequently, we missed the turn, somewhere around Cuernavaca.

Just short of Mexico D. F. we turned back to Cuernavaca then found the right road to take us West to Taxco

If we had taken the highway from Oaxaca to Mexico City we, probably, would have saved ourselves a couple of hours of driving.

On the other hand, we would have missed some lovely scenery and the opportunity to make some new friends.

This page was going to be just a few pictures of that trip.

I have expanded it to include highway signs that I have seen through our journey.

If I have failed to interpret, or incorrectly interpreted, any of them. Please write to me with a correction.

In some cases, misinterpretation could result in a fine, accident, or death.

Correct interpretation can make for a more enjoyable trip.

However, trying to interpret them does give one something to do and to talk about with fellow passengers.
