CONTINUING THROUGH THE CONCESSION AREA WILL BRING YOU TO `CEPERLEY MEADOW', A PICNIC AREA AND CHILDREN’S' PLAYGROUND.

SECOND BEACH, THE WHITE FENCE IS SECOND BEACH POOL.

THE ORIGINAL SECOND BEACH POOL WOULD FILL WHEN THE TIDE CAME IN.
CLOSING GATES WOULD TRAP THE WATER. THE WATER WOULD BE WARMED BY THE SUN. WHEN THE WATER BECAME UNCLEAN IT WOULD BE DRAINED BACK INTO THE OCEAN, AND THE PROCESS WOULD BE REPEATED AT THE NEXT HIGH TIDE. THE POOL WAS REBUILT IN THE LATE 1990'S. THE ORIGINAL WALLS WERE LINED WITH SAND TO FORM AN INSULATION BARRIER. THE NEW POOL FEATURES HEATED, TREATED, WATER, AS WELL AS SLIDES, A SAFETY FENCE, AND AN ADMISSION PRICE.

THE ORIGINAL CHILDREN’S' PLAY AREA IN CEPERLEY MEADOW. BEHIND THE FIRE TRUCK IS AN OUTDOOR DANCE FLOOR, WHERE, AMONG OTHER ACTIVITIES, YOU MIGHT FIND PEOPLE TAKING SQUARE DANCE LESSONS. THERE IS A MORE MODERN CHILDREN’S' PLAY AREA AT THE OPPOSITE END OF THE MEADOW.
